Fighters On The Rise

Igor Egorov (7-3) Olympus VS Lukasz Sajewski (12-0) Mighty Bulls Gdynia
This will be a Russian vs Poland as two warrior’s step into the cage to do battle. Egorov who’s fought most of his pro fights under the Pro FC promotion will be looking to redeem himself coming off a loss in his last outing. Sajewski who goes by the nickname ‘WOOKIE’ with high hopes of keeping his record unblemished and working up the ranks.
Coliseu Extreme Fight: May 29 06:00 PM ET
Giovanni da Silva (14-1) Hikari/Eduardo Team VS Leandro Higo (13-2) Team Nogueira/Pitbull Brothers
This is a CEF Flyweight Title fight between two decorated fighters with Silva fighting on a 14 fight win streak. Higo, who fought at 135 his last outing, drops a weight class and is currently on a 4 fight win streak.
One FC 16: Honor and Glory- May 30 09:00 AM ET
Ben Askren (12-0) Rougusport VS Bakhtiyar Abbasov (11-2) fighting out of Azerbayan
Askren, a 2 time NCAA Div 1 National Wrestling Champion and a Bellator welterweight Champion, while defending that title 4 times. Askren was released by Bellator with no offer from the UFC and would sign with ONE FC. Abbasov, a Pro FC fighter, along with Cage Warriors and several other promotions is currently on a 9 fight win streak.
Substance Cage Combat (SCC2)- May 30 07:00 PM ET
Alex Ricci (7-2) Mi thai Boxing/Mecha MMA VS EJ Brooks (7-2) St Charles MMA/Rodrigo Vaghi Jui Jitsu
Ricci has recorded five of his wins by TKO/KO. He is very dangerous with striking, elbows, knees and kicks. His only loses came via unanimous decision and split decision. Brooks, out of seven victories, (four has come from Bellator), nicknamed “The Pretty Boy”, fights out of Cahokia, Illinois. Great fight for both fighters with the winner moving on up the ranks.
Fight Time 19: Battle of the Brave- May 30 08:00 PM ET
JP Reese (11-8) American Top Team VS Jason Soares (5-0) fighting out of Miami, FL
Reese has collected three of his wins in Bellator and has fought in numerous promotions. I once seen Reese fight Sovak Mahakian at Shofight 20, falling short via unanimous decision. Soares started his pro career at Mexico Regional and has since fought the rest of his pro bouts in Fight Time. Out of the five wins, four has been via submission choke. Great win for Soares if he can defeat Reese in this battle.
Road FC 15- May 31 04:00 AM ET
Jung Gyo Park (1-5) Gamdan Jungshim VS Ikuhisa Minowa (60-35-8) Freelance
Park got his first win back in November, 2012 to go along with 5 losses. It seems kind of scary going up against a world class veteran in Minowa with 103 fights and has fought in every organization under the sun. So just think, if Park comes out with a victory…. would this be the biggest upset in MMA history?
North American FC: “Mega Brawl”- May 31 04:30 PM ET
Sam Alvey (22-5) 1 NC Team Quest VS Gerald Meerschaert (19-7) Agallar Combative Systems
Alvey’s last four fights have been with MFC promotion, winning the Middleweight Title and defending that title against Wes Swofford his last outing. However, back in 2010 Alvey suffered a loss against Meerschaert via submission choke at Combat USA event. Alvey’s come a long way since that match. It sure seems he wants to revenge that loss. This would be a huge upset if Meerschaert could pull off the victory.
Strike Hard Produtions (SHP 33) May 31 08:00 PM ET
David McAfee (3-7) Fighting out of Hayden, AL VS Brad Taylor (0-0) Florida Fight Foundation
McAfee comes into this fight with a 2-1 record fighting for SHP with both wins coming by way of KO/TKO via in the first round. He suffered a KO in his last outing against the up & rising star Wade Johnson back in Oct ’13. Taylor starts his pro debut with having over 30 amateur fights on his record. Good solid fight for Taylor as he starts his pro career, we could be looking at the next rising star.
