STAGE IS SET FOR LIGHTWEIGHT WORLD TITLE MAIN EVENT AT ‘BELLATOR 165’ TOMORROW NIGHT LIVE ON SPIKE
SAN JOSE, CALIF. (Nov. 18, 2016) –The official weigh-ins for “Bellator 165:Chandler vs. Henderson” took place this evening in front of a crowd inside of the SAP Center in San Jose, Calif. The competitors are now ready for action tomorrow at the SAP Center, with the event airing LIVE and FREE on SPIKE at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT.
The main card is highlighted by a lightweight world title fight pitting current division champion Michael Chandler (15-3) against Benson Henderson(24-6), while undefeated superstar Michael “Venom” Page (11-0) faces off with Fernando Gonzalez (25-13) in a welterweight co-main clash. In addition, a light heavyweight bout pitting Linton Vassell (16-5) against Francis Carmont (25-11) and a lightweight showdown pitting Adam Piccolotti (8-0) against Brandon Girtz (14-4) will also be featured on the Spike-televised main card. Lastly, Keri-Anne Taylor-Melendez will make her professional mixed martial arts debut against undefeated Sheila Padilla (2-0) in a crucial flyweight fight.
The highly anticipated professional debut of Baby Slice headlines the Bellator.com-streamed preliminary portion of the event, as he prepares for a welterweight battle with Aaron Hamilton (0-2).
“Bellator 165: Chandler vs. Henderson” takes place at SAP Center in San Jose, Calif., and airs live and free on Spike at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT, while preliminary bouts will stream live on Bellator.com and The Bellator Mobile App.
