EVENT INFO

Before they face off on Jan. 21 at the Forum in Los Angeles, Tito Ortiz and Chael Sonnen will go toe-to-toe in one of the most highly anticipated press conferences in MMA. The two legends are known for their ruthless power in the cage, but also for their unparalleled trash talk outside. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to see “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” and “The American Gangster” in a verbal bloodbath inside Mohegan Sun Arena.

While with the UFC, the 43-fight veteran Sonnen competed against powerful opponents the likes of Jon Jones, Anderson Silva (2x), Rashad Evans, “Shogun” Rua, Demian Maia, Brian Stann, and current middleweight champion Michael Bisping. During his recent three-year hiatus from active MMA competition, the West Linn, Ore., native mastered the art of being in front of the camera, doing major broadcasting work for both ESPN and Fox Sports. On the other side, former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Ortiz is a grinder who defended his title five times. Similar to Sonnen’s impeccable track record, Ortiz also had intense rivalries in the cage with MMA legends the likes of Ken Shamrock, Chuck Liddell, Wanderlei Silva, and Randy Couture. While Sonnen prepares for his promotional debut, Ortiz enters the cage for the second time under the direction of Bellator MMA, following his bout with current 205-pound champion Liam McGearyat “Bellator: Dynamite 1.” Similar to their style in the cage, there’s no telling what will happen in front of the cameras inside Mohegan Sun Arena at Thursday’s press conference.
