BOOM MMA to finish 2016 strong and kicks off 2017 with 6 events on tap already.
Since the MMA craze was started in India, we have seen the birth of the Combat Sports Association (CSA), which was formed to promote Mixed Martial Art in Eastern part of India. From that point on the CSA has never looked Back. CSA started off with Fighting King Championship (FKC). FKC is one of the first MMA promotion launched in India. FKC was mainly based in a Kolkata which is known as cultural capital of India. FKC hosted few successful events in Kolkata with backing from CSA. After a few events the CSA decided to close down FKC. The CSA planned something new. So they looked into the market demands and growth of MMA world wide. Devised a plan, announced it, then launched their 2nd promotion called BOOM MMA.
BOOM MMA is one of the longest running professional fighting promotion in Eastern India. Since its inception BOOM MMA has dominated the MMA scene of Eastern India. Now Indian fighters have a true platform to showcase their skills. BOOM MMA also opened their door to International fighters, as their last event had fighters from Afghanistan on the card. Up to now the CSA has promoted a total of 8 events with 4 events under the BOOM MMA banner. In BOOM MMA's most recent event which took place in Khudiram Anushilan Kendra in Kolkata, BOOM MMA crowned their first undisputed Champion.
BOOM MMA is planning some big events and according to CSA President Ratul Mukherjee. They will be back with an event in November of this year. Their plan for 2017 also partially revealed, they said their plan is to put 4 MMA events within first 6 month of 2017 as well as a separate grappling tournament. Ratul is working alongside the biggest and most active MMA federation in India, All India Mixed Martial Art Federation (AIMMAF), which is responsible for regulating the sport and maintaining athlete safety. All upcoming MMA events under BOOM MMA banner will be recognized and sanctioned by AIMMAF. CSA president Mr. Ratul Mukherjee is Promoter and Founder of BOOM MMA and also holding Position of Joint Secretary in AIMMAF. He revealed that BOOM MMA will look to continue their growth by holding events in Bhutan and Bangladesh. Executive Vice President of CSA , Abid Hassan Tanvir, is taking care of it as he is responsible for the global operation of the CSA .
BOOM MMA is planning a one night event in partnership with with mega promotion and the Champion of the event will get exclusive multiple fight contract with the mega promotion. With the experienced guidance from Promoter Ratul Mukherjee, BOOM MMA is really doing well. Ratul is right when he says "Being one of the longest running Pro leagues we are doing and planning it the right way so we make this sport bigger and better. "
The way it looks BOOM MMA will be getting bigger and better day by day.
