Brave News, the online show that keeps fans around the world updated on everything Brave-related, comes back this week with great news. As the promotion prepares for the biggest-ever MMA event in the Middle East, Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions has received the backing of teen superstar Hala Al Turk, who visited the Khalifa Sports City Arena during the preparations for Brave International Combat Week and sent words of encouragement to Bahrain's own Hamza Kooheji, while urging her fans to attend Brave 9. "The Pride of Bahrain" looks to stay undefeated under the Brave banner against Mohammad Farhad.
Brave 9's schedule has been released with the Official Open Workouts happening at the recently-opened The Avenues Mall. The Khalifa Sports City Arena will also be the stage of the ceremonial weigh-ins, alongside the groundbreaking event itself.
Meanwhile, Alejandro "Pato" Martínez has revealed his surprise at getting the call to fight for Brave's inaugural Lightweight championship against Morocco's Ottman "The Bulldozer" Azaitar, promising to finish his foe within the first two rounds. Another title challenger, Gurdarshan Mangat has talked about how he has been inspired by teammates Georges St. Pierre and Demetrious Johnson's recent accomplishments and hopes to translate that into Brave 9, where he'll fight for the first-ever Bantamweight title against Stephen Loman.
Legendary trainer Rafael Cordeiro has sent a message of support to title challenger Lucas "Mineiro" Martins. The Chute Boxe product will face current Featherweight champion Elias Boudegzdame at Brave 9's co-main event and Cordeiro has hailed his friend's stand-up game and said he hopes to see another knockout for "Mineiro". Rafael used to be a muay thai and vale tudo fighter for Chute Boxe, before opening his own gym in America and continues to follow the progress of his fellow Chute Boxe friends and fighters.
