CWFC 76:  Nad Narimani vs Daniel Requeijo
London, May 19th 2016.  A featherweight bout between England’s Nad Narimani and Spain’s Daniel Requeijo has today been added to the bill for Cage Warriors Fighting Championships next event scheduled for June in Wales.

Cage Warriors 76, the promotion’s second event of the year will take place on Saturday June 4, at the Newport Centre in South Wales, and it will be broadcast live on UFC Fight Pass in the UK and Ireland.

Narimani (8-2 | CWFC 2 -2) returns to action for Cage Warriors after a big win via first round TKO against Jeremy Petley in November 2015.  The 29 year old who represents Iron Mann MMA has previously fought for Cage Warriors with dominant rear-naked choke wins over Benjamin Brander (CWFC 64) and Athinodoros Michailidis (CWFC 60).  At CWFC 73 Narimani lost to Alex Enlund by decision for the vacant CWFC Featherweight title bout in Newcastle. Currently ranked 8th in the UK, Narimani is a strong, powerful all rounder boasting six wins inside the distance.

“I’m looking forward to being back on Cage Warriors again. I’m looking to put on a show for the crowd close to home so will have a big crowd in support. Gonna make another statement for people to realise it's no joke getting in the cage with me”, said Narimani.

Requeijo, (7-2 | CWFC 0-0) a native of Gran Canaria and current Ansgar Fighting League Featherweight Champion makes his Cage Warriors debut at CWFC 76.  The 32 year old,  a proven finisher has 6 wins inside the distance and has won his last 6 bouts - 5 of those before the final bell in the last 18 months.  Although Requeijo can boast wins against Cage Warriors veterans Gaetano Pirello and Leon Del Gaudio, a win against Narimani would be the best win of his career.

He said: “I have wanted to fight on Cage Warriors because I've always wanted to fight on a big platform. My goal is to go all the way and challenge for the belt.”

Cage Warriors matchmaker, Ian Dean said, “I'm really pleased to have Nad Narimani back on Cage Warriors.  I feel he is one of the most underrated talents in the UK and it will be interesting to see what kind of statement he will make on his return after being fairly inactive since his last CWFC appearance.  His opponent Daniel Requeijo, on the other hand has been reeling off impressive wins during this time and will be looking to claim arguably his biggest win of his career when he faces a legitimate top 10 UK featherweight.”

Tickets for this event are selling fast but are still available and start from just £30. (plus booking fee)  Tickets are available here.
