Dean Trueman (7-3) is the newest addition to the Cage Warriors Fighting Championship roster.

Trueman has signed a multi-fight deal, which will see him compete exclusively for CWFC in 2017.  A native of Ilkeston, Derbyshire he trains at Nottingham MMA and is part of Team Wallhead.

“My last fight on Cage Warriors was a big risk, but I had a lot to prove and it paid off.  Now being contracted to Cage Warriors gives me the opportunity to showcase my skills worldwide and to prove what I’m capable of,” said Trueman who scored the fastest win of his career with a 12-second knockout live on BT Sport and UFC Fightpass at CWFC 79.

Trueman, an all-rounder is currently riding a three-fight win streak, two of which have taken place this year and both finished inside the first round. He stepped up with less than two weeks preparation for CWFC 79 but by the end of the night he was the talk of UK MMA - in just 24 hours, Trueman’s spectacular knockout had clocked up 300,000 views on Facebook.

Cage Warriors President Graham Boylan said, “We’re pleased to be welcoming Dean to Cage Warriors.  After our Newport show he had the world at his feet with other big promotions eager to sign him but I believe he has made the right decision - I’m excited to see the impact he will have on the featherweight division next year.”
