House of Fame MMA Launches First Professional Mixed Martial Arts Franchise in the United States
Inaugural Event Set for September 6, 2014 in Jacksonville, Florida
St. Augustine, FL (August 27, 2014) – House of Fame MMA (HOF MMA), a mixed martial arts (MMA) organization based out of St. Augustine Florida, recently announced the launch of a new franchise, the first Professional MMA Franchise of its kind to be established in the United States. HOF MMA will sponsor quarterly events at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. The organization is the newest member of the city’s sports council (JAXSPORTS). They have also aligned themselves with local franchises such as the Sharks and Armada FC to promote Jacksonville as a sports destination. House of Fame MMA’s first Pro-MMA event will take place on September 6, 2014.
According to HOF MMA Executives, their organization represents a historic paradigm shift in the MMA world. They are offering a new platform to showcase the fastest growth- sport in the world on a highly-visible stage, giving the extensive Mixed Martial Arts fan base as well as fighter community, a consistent, prolific and first-mover entity, with exceedingly strong long-term growth potential. House of Fame MMA is modeled after traditional U.S. based Professional franchises and leagues such as the NFL and MLB, and is poised for National expansion to proliferate the first MMA League of its kind in the world.
According to Frank Morejon, a talent coordinator with the HOF MMA franchise, “We are very excited about the launch of the HOF MMA franchise and look forward to hosting our inaugural event at the Jacksonville Veteran’s Memorial Arena. Morejon went on to say, “HOF MMA is sanctioned by the Florida Boxing Commission and they will be working with us to recruit MMA fighters for our events. Our first event will take place next Saturday (Sept. 6th). The card is stacked with elite MMA talent. There will also be several A-list Marquee MMA fighters in attendance. Fans will not be disappointed!”
HOF MMA has also partnered with Clear Channel Media and Entertainment. With its 243 million monthly U.S. listeners, Clear Channel Media and Entertainment has the largest reach of any radio or television outlet in America. Additionally, HOF MMA’s inaugural event will air via tape delay on United Fight Alliance (UFA).
