King of the Cage Returns to the Ute Mountain Casino, Hotel & Resort on October 1 for "REIGNITE"

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA. (September 2, 2016) – King of the Cage, the leader in casino mixed martial arts entertainment, returns to Ute Mountain Casino, Hotel & Resort in Towaoc, Colorado on Saturday, October 1, 2016 with another world-class mixed martial arts event, headlined by a Lightweight (155 pounds) showdown featuring Matt Young and Joe Miles and some of the sport’s best competitors.

The main event in the 155 lb. Lightweight Division, will feature Matt Young (2-0) from Durango, Colorado (Durango Martial Arts) against Joe “Gentleman Joe” Miles (6-4) from Fort Collins, Colorado (Z’s Gym). Young, who is undefeated in his professional career is also a brown belt in BJJ. Miles is a talented wrestler and grappler, who will be making the drop from 170 to 155 lbs.

One of the co-main events in the 170 lb. Welterweight Division will feature Cris Leyva (9-5) from Farmington, New Mexico doing battle against John “Rock ‘em Sock ‘em” Rozema (4-2) from Rio Rancho, New Mexico (Judgement MMA). Leyva is a veteran KOTC fighter who is making his return to the cage.  He is a powerful striker who has fought some of the toughest MMA opponents. Rozema is an exciting and hard hitting fighter with a “stand and bang” style that always brings the crowd to its feet.

Also on the card will be a title fight between current champion Esias Gordo (8-0) from Aztec, New Mexico (505 Fight Factory) against challenger Daniel Nieto (5-2) from Albuquerque, New Mexico (Jackson/Wink) for the KOTC Amateur Flyweight (135 lbs.) Title. Gordo, who is undefeated, will be making his first title defense.

One of the featured fights in the 125 lb. Junior Flyweight Division will be Joey “Mack Truck” Trevino from Cortez, Colorado (Impulse MMA) against Nathaniel Gomez from Peralta, New Mexico (Martinez, Inc.)

This event will be broadcast in over 50 million U.S. households on MAVTV (214 DIRECTV, 810 Verizon FiOS). Check your local cable provider for cable station in your area.

Other featured fighters on the card will include Shawn Hudler, Gavin Benally, Tabitha Trevino, Anthony Chavez, Matt Jackson. Tony Darling and more.
