 ROAD FC 023

The Bantamweight Championship

Bantamweight Champion Lee Yun-Jun will defend his title for the first time against rising Challenger Mun Je-Hoon at ROAD FC 023.  At ROAD FC 011, Lee and Mun both lost in the Bantamweight Tournament semifinals.  After that, Lee went on a winning spree, and earned the title shot against Lee Kil-Woo, which he won.  Mun lost his next bout, but bounced back with two convincing wins to make himself Lee's first Challenger.  With Lee's calculating and deadly kicks, and Mun's ferocious striking style, the Bantamweight Championship title defense will be guaranteed to deliver fireworks!

Choi Mu-Bae returns to MMA against Jiu Jitsu Champion Lucas Tani

The "Heavy Tank from Busan" is back!  Choi Mu-Bae will make his return to MMA against Lucas Tani, a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Champion who put rising star Shim Gun-Oh in his place at ROAD FC 022.  Choi has been waiting to get back into MMA in South Korea, and now he finally has the chance.  The PRIDE veteran will pit his world class Greco Roman wrestling skills against Tani's BJJ accolades.  Tani has already made one wrestler tap, but will Choi's heavy hands stop him in his tracks?  This heavyweight clash will not hear the bell for sure!

ROAD FC 023 Main Card Matches

Song Hyo-Kyung first matched Emi Fujino at DEEP JEWELS 1. Song had only two fights under her belt at the time, yet she went almost to the end of the fight against Fujino and landed heavy strikes.  However, Fujino's dominant grappling closed the match with a choke submission.  Song has grown tougher against her recent opponents, and Fujino has been facing the top of the line, internationally.  Song will be fighting for redemption, but Fujino will, no doubt, be ready for whatever comes her way!

In another Women's Match, surging Kim Ji-Yeon will take on Muay Thai Champion Hatice "The Turkish Delight" Ozyurt.  Kim has faced the best of the best in her burgeoning career, and Ozyurt is just getting started in MMA as well.  These two women signal the tough yet beautiful future of International Women's MMA!
Fan favorite Nandinerdine "Oka" will welcome "Crying Fist" Season 4 winner

Kim Seung-Yeon to the world of professional MMA.  Kim is already a tough-talker, but he has proven himself battle-worthy as well during his trials on The Crying Fist.  "Oka

" won't care what Kim has to say come fight night, as these two aggressive and hungry fighters meet in the cage for the first time.

Finally, GUMI MMA Coach Lee Chang-Seob, well-known for producing such talents as UFC fighter Choi Doo-Ho, will jump back into the cage to challenge himself against Golden Glory proponent Karim Bourarassi of Tatsujin Dojo.  Lee is a Tae Kwon Do master who has never been afraid of taking the ring against any opponent, and he will aim to prove that it still holds true as he introduces tough kick boxer Bourarassi to professional MMA.
