ROAD FC 027: 26 December, 2015 at the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center in Shanghai, China
ROAD FC signs China's lightweight standout Zhang Lipeng to debut against Hong Young-Ki

23 October, 2015 - ROAD Fighting Championship will make an historic global expansion into China with ROAD FC 027 in Shanghai on 26 December, 2015.  The event will take place in the 18,000-capacity Shanghai Oriental Sports Center, a premier facility built in 2008 to showcase international sporting events.

ROAD FC is proud to announce the signing of China's premier lightweight MMA fighter, Zhang Lipeng (25, Fighting Empire).  At ROAD FC 027 in China, he will face Korea's Taekwondo master Hong Young-Ki (31, Apgujeong Gym).
Originally a sanda fighter, Zhang's MMA career crescendoed when he landed a spot on UFC TUF: China.  He succeeded in making his way to the finale through an 8-man welterweight tournament, a class above his normal division.  Zhang defeated Wang Sai to win the tournament in his first UFC fight.  He proceeded to  go 2-2 in the organization with very well-fought battles but was dismissed earlier in the year. Zhang returned to fight in China's Kunlun Fight where he won a decisive homecoming.  Zhang will once again return to international competition when he faces Hong at ROAD FC 027.
Hong Young-Ki is a late-comer to MMA, but he is not new to martial arts; Hong is a Taekwondo master.  He became a fan favorite during his time on the MMA reality show "Crying Fist".  Hong then signed with ROAD FC and has gone 3-1 in his professional career, most recently showing off his incredible kicking skills against another Chinese stand out, He Nannan.
Zhang Lipeng versus Hong Young-Ki promises to be an action-packed style-versus-style match up, with Zhang's home soil advantage sure to fire up the crowd!
As previously announced, K-1 wrecking machine and Bellator veteran "Mighty Mo" Siala-Mou Siliga (45, AGUIRRE'S FIGHTING SYSTEM) and Korea's home-grown K-1 veteran Myung Hyun-Man (30, FREE), will meet in a clash of two verified striking supermen.
