Xiaomi presents ROAD FC 028 Official Weigh In Results, Quotes, and Photos

30 January, 2016 -  ROAD Fighting Championship's next event, Xiaomi presents ROAD FC 028 will be held tomorrow 31 January at the Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul, South Korea. The weigh ins for the event, with Main Event being Riki Fukuda's Middleweight Championship defense against Cha Jung-Hwan, were held at the Grand Hilton Seoul on 30 January.

All fighters on both the Main Card and Young Guns 26 Preliminary Card made weight, so all eleven fights are a go.

In the Middleweight Championship bout between highly experienced fighters, Champion Riki Fukuda and challenger Cha Jung-Hwan kept their professional demeanor.

Riki Fukuda stated:

"I'm very happy to be back in Seoul for this bout.  I don't have any second thoughts, I'm enthusiastically going after the KO.  As an MMA fighter, I really want to impress the fans with my best fight."

Cha Jung-Hwan stated:

"Tomorrow is a great opportunity so I'll make sure to win and put that belt on my shoulder.  I will continue to fight middleweight after this.  Fukuda is a strong wrestler and really good in the clinch.  A lot of Korean fighters are weak in this area.  I've been focusing my training on wrestling and the clinch so I can meet his game and make it a fun match."

In the Co-Main event, things got heated between Yuta Nezu and Moon Jea-Hoon when Moon donned his Taekwondo kimono and aggressively went after Nezu.  It fired the Japanese striker up, and they had to be separated.

Yuta Nezu stated:

"Tomorrow will be my best fight.  I'm going to win by KO."

Moon Jea-Hoon responded:

"Not necessarily, Yuta Nezu, when we get in the cage I'm willing to take it to the ground."

ROAD FC is the stage where legends shine, rookies thrill, and epic battles are waged that determine the future of MMA. From the pageantry of the grand entrance to the final crunch of the KO, ROAD FC showcases the very best of Mixed Martial Arts sports and entertainment. As we say in Korea, "Fighting!"
