ROAD FC 019 announceme
18 October, 2014 - ROAD FC 019 match announcements: Cha Jung-Hwan faces Alexandre Barros, Lee Kwang-Hee versus Mun Gi-Bum, Luis Ramos out with injury so Amilcar Alves steps in against Yoon Dong-Sik
ROAD FC 019 sees Cha Jung-Hwan return against Brazilian Alexandre Barros
ROAD FC 019 will take place on 9 November, 2014 at the Seoul Olympic Hall in Seoul, South Korea. As previously announced, the Main Event is an exciting Middleweight Superfight between ultra-powerful finisher Riki Fukuda of Japan and tough-as-nails Lee Dool-Hee of South Korea.
One of Korea's most well-known welterweights Cha Jung-Hwan will return to ROAD FC after more than a year, following back to back Draws in tough matches with Andrews Nakahara and Luis Ramos. Cha has notable knockouts of Ryo Chonan and Igor Gracie. He is no stranger to tough foreign opponents and the list will get longer at ROAD FC 019.
When Team Baixinho's Alexandre Barros returns to Korea, he will enter the cage instead of cornering his charges. The Brazilian warhorse boasts a huge record of 21-10 with a high rate of knockouts to his credit. Barros was riding a 7-fight win streak before a disappointing 2013. It is guaranteed that heavy leather will be traded in this matchup between two of the world's most experienced welterweights.
Lee Kwang-Hee versus Mun Gi-Bum matchup added at Lightweight
"Crazy" Lee Kwang-Hee is definitely crazy - to get back in the cage and avenge the brutal KO he suffered against Bruno Miranda at ROAD FC 16. The former Spirit MC Champion has consistently faced the toughest in his division and always engages with full force - as his 5 wins by KO prove.
Up and coming Team MAD prodigy Mun Gi-Bum (formerly Moon Ki-Bum) will get a very stiff test in his first Main Card fight with ROAD FC. Mun has proven he has rocks for hands but this fight with Lee puts a whole new complexion on his career. Look for this to be a contender for the quickest fight of the night because Mun is hungry to climb and Lee is vengeful.
Luis Ramos injured, Yoon Dong-Sik now faces Amilcar Alves
With Luis Ramos sidelined by an unfortunate shoulder injury sustained in training camp, UFC veteran Amilcar Alves steps in to face Yoon Dong-Sik at ROAD FC 019. Alves has amassed a record of 15-5 with a mix of finishes to his credit. He will fight at his natural weight and so can be expected to be ready to take whatever Yoon throws at him. Alves joins the growing list of top exciting international fighters on the expanding ROAD FC roster.
