In this week's breakdown, we go to Rumble On The Ridge 33 at Snoqualmie Casino in Snoqualmie, WA. With 3 amateur bouts (Two of them being female fights) and 6 pro bouts, there was nothing but roaring excitement from the crowd and all who streamed the fight around the world. From the top of the night, we recap the co-main event with Rob Cann taking on Nathan Thompson and the main event with Jared Torgeson facing global MMA veteran Tony Lopez.
Co-Main Event: Nathan Thompson Vs. Rob Cann
1st round, both came out agressive but patient, feeling each others range with Cann the one to start throwing some heat with a 1,2 combo, followed by Thompson scoring a takedown. Cann was able to get up from his back, but Thompson kept in close range landing a few hard shots of his own and utilized the clinch with a combo of knees looking for the knockout. Cann, recovering and Thompson shooting for a takedown went for the guillotine choke which Thompson fought through and stayed on top end the round. Round 2, Cann made an aggressive turn taking control of the octagon, throwing leather and taking Thompson down. Remainder of the round, Cann stayed on top laying down various ground and pound strikes followed by two submission attempts. Final round, Cann had overall control of the octagon standing in the center and dishing out a beating on the feet with a vicious body kick then following up with some hard jabs. Last 30 seconds of the fight, Rob Cann let it all hang out swinging for the fences until the sound of the bell, giving Rob Cann the Unanimous Decision (29-28 x3) and co-main event victory.
Main Event: Jared Torgeson Vs. Tony Lopez
1st round started as more of a kickboxing match feeling each others range with Lopez dishing some unique twist kicks to make Torgeson misread what kick he was throwing. Jared took the round by pressing Lopez on the cage dealing damage with precise shots having a significant strike that looked to of wobbled Lopez to finish the round. 2nd round, Torgeson make a push on the feet landing some good exchanges, but Lopez got on top and brought Torgeson into his world of grappling going for a rear-naked choke. After being unable to sink in the choke, Lopez got full mount position on top landing some strikes until Torgeson reversed his position to throw leather before the round ended.  Final round, Torgeson neutralized Lopez' game staying scrappy on the feet, keeping top control on any takedown attempts and kept control in close combat with his use of the clinch. After the close back and forth fight, Jared Torgeson won by Split Decision (29-28,28-29,29-28) and a huge main event closure to the action packed event.
