Three New Matches Finalize the ROAD FC 22 Main Card

Three New Matches Finalize the ROAD FC 22 Main Card

28 February, 2015 - ROAD FC 022, the second event of 2015, will take place on 21 March in Seoul, South Korea at the newly refurbished Jangchung Gymnasium.  Three new matches will finalize the Main Card.

Park Jung-Kyo vs Jeon Uh-Jin

Park "Special Forces" Jung-Kyo and Jeon Uh-Jin put in thrilling performances in their recent bouts, and now they will put all that energy into facing each other.  Park's resurgence came when he knocked out Minowa Ikuhisa and then Kim Dae-Sung.  Unfortunately, two matches since have fallen through because of his opponent's injury and missed weight.

Park is desperate to keep his upswing momentum and facing him will be Jeon, who is also on top of his game.  Jeon showed incredible toughness in his last fight when he came back form a knock down and won by choking out Kim Dae-Sung.  These heavy-handed warriors will prove why ROAD FC fighters are always exciting to watch, so don't blink!

Tamura Issei vs Cho Young-Seung

UFC veteran Tamura Issei is coming back for his third ROAD FC fight against up and coming Cho Young-Seung.  Krazy Bee's Tamura has gamely faced the best of the division in his two previous bouts yet is still looking for a win inside the ROAD FC cage.  His next opportunity will come against Cho, who is a strong grappler from Jiu Jitsu World.  Cho is undefeated in MMA and won his last fight by KO showing that he has a complete arsenal.

Tamura is hungry for a win, and Cho is hungry to scale the Bantamweight division.  This match will be a nail-biter to see which man gets his way!

Shim Gun-Oh vs Lucas Tani

Former "Crying Fist" contestant and Kyungsung University wrestler Shim Gun-Oh will have his second professional MMA fight against Brazilian Jiu Jitsu champion Lucas Tani.  ROAD FC offered Shim a contract during his first sparring session because his natural striking ability and wrestling background give him the makings of a champion.  He will be tested against Tani who has a professional MMA record of 4-1 and over 50 gold medals in BJJ competition.

Will this match be wrestling versus BJJ?  Or will these heavyweights thrill with heavy hands? One thing is for sure, they will put on an exciting match at ROAD FC 022!

As previously announced:

Fukuda Riki and Lee Dool-Hee fought at ROAD FC 019 in the Main Event where Fukuda and Lee threw punches at each other non-stop. Fukuda accidentally kicked Lee in the groin twice and Lee couldnt continue so the match was judged to be a "No Contest".  Now Lee Dool-Hee will have a second chance at unfinished business with Fukuda Riki.

Legendary MMA fighters Yoon Dong-Sik and Takase Daiju will finally have their chance to meet in the ROAD FC cage.  Yoon was an Olympic-calibre Judoka who made his professional debut in PRIDE one decade ago and has since become a Korean MMA legend.  Takase is a 17-year long notable veteran of MMA who began his career in PRIDE  in 1998 where he submitted Anderson Silva and then was one of the first Japanese fighters in the UFC. Both fighters are eager to prove they are not just the past, but the present and the best of ROAD FC!

The Main Event will be ROAD FC Lightweight Champion Kwon A-Sol's first title defense against former rival "Krazy" Lee Kwang-Hee.  Their rivalry began eight years ago.  Kwon challenged Lee twice in Spirit MC, but was not able to wrestle the Welterweight Title from him.  Now it will be Lee who will aim to keep his resurgence by facing his former rival for the ROAD FC belt.  The Lightweight Championship between Kwon A-Sol and Challenger Lee Kwang-Hee truly has the makings of "bitter rivals" written all over it!
