UFC Fighter to Corner Gurdarshan Mangat at BRAVE

Jeremy Kennedy with a professional record of 11-0-0 will corner Gurdarshan Mangat at Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions when he faces Stephen Loman from Team Lakay for the Bantamweight Championship title. The 24-year-old featherweight fighter is signed with the UFC and is on a 11 fight winning streak. Kennedy has spent the last four years fighting professionally and has trained in boxing and jiu-jitsu since he was 13. He is one of the top-ranked featherweight contenders in Canada.

Gurdarshan trains alongside Jeremy Kennedy at the Revolution MMA, Canada. Kennedy was at the corner of Mangat when he fought Indian featherweight fighter in a catchweight fight at Brave 5: Go for Glory in Mumbai. Abdul Muneer was defeated after three rounds of action by unanimous decision. Jeremy successfully navigated Mangat to avoid the vicious overhands and hooks unleashed by Muneer and to take the game to the mat where Muneer was vulnerable. This time Gurdarshan will be facing Stephen Loman who predominantly emphasises on wrestling and take opponents down to the ground. This is poised to create new challenges for Mangat and his corner.

Meanwhile, Kennedy was set to face Alexander Volkanovski (15-1) in a lightweight bout. Kennedy, who has won his last three fights since he joined the UFC, will now shift his focus on a return by the end of the year. He was forced to withdraw from 'UFC Fight Night', which was set to take place in Sydney, Australia. Kennedy announced that he is currently rehabbing a neck injury and the hope is that he will "be back before the end of the year."
