The Co-Main event will be a match between well-known Bantamweights from two sides of the globe: "One Minute" Kim Soo-Chul vs "The Bama Beast" Marcus Brimage.
Young Guns 27 preliminary matches all open
In the Main Event for the Young Guns 27 undercard, top-ranked Russian KO artist Gennadiy Kovalev (14-4, MFP Team) will meet Korean National Boxing Champion Cha In-Ho (2-2, Team MAD). Kovalev recently became the Welterweight Champion of League S-70 in Russia, but has spent much of his time smashing through the Far Eastern Modern Pankration Federation. With 8 KOs to his credit, Kovalev is obviously sporting rocks for hands - and he knows how to throw them. The Vladivostok representative will be eager to make his first fight in Korea much more than just memorable.
After dabbling in MMA back in 2011, boxer Cha In-Ho decided to renew his passion to compete in the cage in 2015. He brought his heavy hands home with a KO victory over Son Gyu-Seok that cemented his resolve in the sport. With a skill set honed in Team MAD gym which has produced so many great South Korean fighters, Cha is now going to face his toughest opponent to date in another top striker who will match him blow for blow, and go to the canvas if that's where things flow.
Six other matches will open up Xiaomi ROAD FC 029 on the Young Guns 27 prelims. Koo Bon-Hyuk and Kang Yeun-Su will be the next two flyweights to watch from South Korea. Oh Jae-Seung and Choi Won-Jun will continue their climb in the welterweight division. La In-Jae and Jeon Young-Jun will put their undefeated status on the line against each other at middleweight. Plus, three more opening matches between Korea's next generation fighters will kick off an amazing card in the ROAD FC hometown of Wonju!
New Wave MMA ROAD FC is the stage where legends shine, rookies thrill, and epic battles are waged that determine the future of MMA. From the pageantry of the grand entrance to the final crunch of the KO, ROAD FC showcases the very best of Mixed Martial Arts sports and entertainment. As we say in Korea, "Fighting!"
