Xiaomi ROAD FC 033 adds Bantamweight match: Kim Min-Woo vs Yuta Nezu

For immediate release:

22 July, 2016 – Xiaomi ROAD FC 033 will take place on 10 September, 2016 at the Hefei Olympic Sports Center in Hefei, Anhui, China. The next match announced for the event is a Bantamweight striking war: Kim Min-Woo versus Yuta Nezu.

Kim Min-Woo (7-1, MMA Story) has slowly and methodically climbed up the rankings since turning professional at just 18 years old. He was on a winning streak of 5-0 when he met future title contender Moon Je-Hoon in a three-round battle that broke his streak, but showed the world he was capable to hang with the top. After recovering from the loss by defeating massive veteran Shoko Sato in hostile territory, Kim was left without an opponent at ROAD FC 029, so Moon volunteered to jump in on late notice. When the scorecards came in, Kim had done more than enough to out-work Moon for the win, avenging his only loss, and putting himself firmly on the leader board.

Yuta Nezu (19-8-1, Wayjutsu Keishukai Tokyo) is a Muay Thai specialist and Shooto Champion who spent almost his entire career with that organization. When Nezu signed to ROAD FC, he was on a seven-fight win streak that included decisions over “Wicky” Nishiura and Motonobu Tezuka. In fact, the only person to ever knock out Nezu in his nine years of professional MMA was the world-ranked Kyoji Horiguchi. Nezu is now 1-1 in ROAD FC with a decisive highlight-reel head kick over Park Hyung-Geun and a kicking war with Taekwondo proponent Moon Je-Hoon.

Kim versus Nezu promises to be an all-out battle between two of the hottest bantamweights in the region. Kim has an ever-improving arsenal for such a young fighter, while Nezu brings a world of experience to this match. Expect fireworks!

Also set for Xiaomi ROAD FC 033, two of the participants in the first Openweight Tournament will return to face each other in a special reserve match: Aorigele and Myung Hyun-Man. With a combined weight in the hundreds of kilos, they will thrill ROAD FC fans as the Openweight contenders clash in the reserve match at Xiaomi ROAD FC 033 in Hefei!

New Wave MMA ROAD FC is the stage where legends shine, rookies thrill, and epic battles are waged that determine the future of MMA. From the pageantry of the grand entrance to the final crunch of the KO, ROAD FC showcases the very best of Mixed Martial Arts sports and entertainment. As we say in Korea, "Fighting!"
