Xiaomi ROAD FC 033 adds Featherweight match: Hong Young-Ki versus Uesako Hiroto

For immediate release:

26 July, 2016 – Xiaomi ROAD FC 033 will take place on 10 September, 2016 at the Hefei Sports Center in Hefei, Anhui, China. The next match announced for the event is a ferocious Featherweight battle: Hong Young-Ki versus Uesako Hiroto.

Hong Young-Ki (3-2, Apgujeong Gym) is a Taekwondo master who found his way into professional MMA through the hit reality TV show “Crying Fist”. Hong won his first match with a rapid-fire KO, then lost his second via submission. In his last three fights, Hong has become a fan favorite with his incredible tenacity and beautifully precise Taekwondo kicks. Hong now looks to bounce back from a loss at his first test at lightweight against UFC veteran Zhang Lipeng.

Uesako Hiroto (9-6, Wayjutsu Keishukai HEARTS) started as a DEEP Future King and worked his way up the promotion's ladder to get hand-picked for a shot in the TV show “Road to UFC: Japan”. Unfortunately, during the trials he suffered an injury that prevented him from participating in the show. Uesako came back strong with a big TKO win over super striker Juri Ohara, which sent him to be the main event at DEEP Cage Impact 2016 against fellow TV show vet Tatsunao Nagakura. The tide swept back and forth with Uesako's impressive striking doing damage, however the scorecards were not in his favor.

Hong versus Uesako will be two of Asia's most interesting fan favorites clashing fiercely to get back into the win column, so fans will definitely witness a thrilling performance from both!

Headlining Xiaomi ROAD FC 033 is an exciting Openweight Tournament special reserve match: Aorigele versus Myung Hyun-Man. Also announced, two of the hottest bantamweights in Asia face off when top Korean prospect Kim Min-Woo takes on Shooto Champion Yuta Nezu.

New Wave MMA ROAD FC is the stage where legends shine, rookies thrill, and epic battles are waged that determine the future of MMA. From the pageantry of the grand entrance to the final crunch of the KO, ROAD FC showcases the very best of Mixed Martial Arts sports and entertainment. As we say in Korea, "Fighting!"
