Xiaomi ROAD FC 034: Flyweights Jo Nam-Jin and Alatengheili rematch for contender rights

Xiaomi ROAD FC 034 adds a Flyweight contender's match between Alatengheili and Jo Nam-Jin

For immediate release:

10 October, 2016 – ROAD Fighting Championship is excited to announce that two of the top flyweights in the division, Alatengheili and Jo Nam-Jin, will meet in match to determine the next Flyweight title contender Xiaomi ROAD FC 034. The event will take place on 19 November at the 9,400-seat Hebei Gymnasium in Shijiazhuang (???), the capital and largest city of Hebei, China.

Alatengheili (10-6, Team Alt) is on a 6-fight win streak that includes a record of 3-0 in ROAD FC. While he has fought at Bantamweight for most of his career, his desire has always been to drop to the Flyweight division to be more competitive. Alatengheili's wrestling has been his strong suit, but his development over his recent fights has shown a more calculating, fierce and brutal striker.

Jo Nam-Jin (10-7, Team MAD) was the first ROAD FC Flyweight Champion who handled Shooto champion Mikihito Yamagami soundly to earn the first shot. While Song Min-Jong was the loser in their first outing for the title, the brilliant battle called for him to be the immediate next contender. Jo's game was on point, but Song was able to up his level during the time off, and he earned the win in the rematch, claiming the ROAD FC Flyweight title for himself.

Alatengheili and Jo ironically met for the first time between those title contentions. A grinding 3-round battle of wrestling and kicks saw Jo come out with a very close and contested decision win. Their rematch with greater stakes at hand will come on 19th November on Alatengheili's home turf, however Jo's history of China fights will lessen the pressure.

Will Alatengheili's meteoric rise continue through to the next title contention, or will Jo's strength and hunger put him back on the course to reclaim the belt?

Also on Xiaomi ROAD FC 034, ROAD FC Featherweight Champion Choi Mu-Gyeom will make his third title defense against Turkish sensation Murat Kazgan. And, China's beloved behemoth Aorigele will be back in action against Japan's warhorse Kawaguchi Yusuke. Bruno Miranda will look for a rebound versus Kim Seung-Yeon.

Plus, in an Openweight bang up, two countries' national champion wrestlers will meet in MMA as China's Hou Zhenlin faces Korea's Shim Gun-Oh. China's Strongman Champion Zhang Jianjun will take on Korean tough guy Kim Dae-Sung in another massive 100kgs match.

New Wave MMA ROAD FC is the stage where legends shine, rookies thrill, and epic battles are waged that determine the future of MMA. From the pageantry of the grand entrance to the final crunch of the KO, ROAD FC showcases the very best of Mixed Martial Arts sports and entertainment. As we say in Korea, "Fighting!"
