PFL Broadcaster Bas Rutten Hosts Outdoor Open Workout at MSG

PROFESSIONAL FIGHTERS LEAGUE (PFL) BROADCASTER AND FORMER UFC HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION BAS RUTTEN HOSTS OUTDOOR OPEN WORKOUT AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN FOR WORLD-CLASS PFL FIGHTERS ANDRE HARRISON, LANCE PALMER, SHAWN JORDAN AND TIMUR VALIEV 

EVENT LAUNCHES PFL SEASON

Bas Rutten, former UFC champion, actor and Professional Fighters League (PFL) expert analyst, will host an outdoor open workout for PFL world-class fighters Andre Harrison, Lance Palmer, Shawn Jordan and Timur Valiev at Madison Square Garden – corner of 31st Street and Eighth Avenue, on Tuesday, June 5th from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, as they gear up to fight in PFL1 -- the highly-anticipated regular-season debut of PFL at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, June 7th. PFL Presidents Carlos Silva and Ray Sefo will also be on hand for media interviews. After each fighter works out, media will have special access and can interview them as they come off the mat. Ladies from Hooters, a PFL partner, will be on hand during the workout and other PFL launch events.

PFL is the new league for the new era of MMA. For the first time, PFL will present MMA in a true sport format, where individuals compete in regular-season match-ups, win-and-advance playoffs, and a championship event where winners will capture their share of a $10M post-season prize pool (the largest in MMA history). The PFL’s roster features 72 elite fighters from 13 countries. The first PFL regular season event will be held on June 7that Madison Square Garden and can be viewed for free on Facebook Watch and NBC Sports Network.

-        11:35 - 11:55 — Timur Valiev

-        11:55 - 12:15 — Shawn Jordan

-        12:15 - 12:35 — Lance Palmer

-        12:35 - 12:50 — Andre Harrison

-        1:00 - 1:05 — Bas Rutten (wrap up)

-        From 1:00 to 1:30 — PFL Presidents Carlos Silva & Ray Sefo available for interviews
