For the first time ever, The American Muay Thai League (AMTL) in association with Lion's Roar/GMMA are proud to announce the "Muay Thai Championships" in which the (World Boxing Council) WBC Muay Thai Pro and Amateur belts along with the Lion's Roar/GMMA titles will be up for grabs on November 18, 2017 in Corona, NY.

The main card of the "Muay Thai Championships" will feature:
Andre Miller (MK Muay Thai, NJ) vs. Malcolm Hill (MT Institute, NJ) 5 rounds at 135lbs.
Guillia D'Ambrosio (Chok Sabai, NY) vs. Yasmeen Salhani (Rami Elite, Phila. PA) 5 rounds, 108lb Lion's Roar/GMMA title.
Kaleb Hunter (8 Points Muay Thai, NC) vs. NJ Mak (Pinpoint Muay Thai, NY) 3 rounds, 150lb Lion's Roar/GMMA title. Nicholas Haines (Gleasons Gym, NY) vs. Ahmad Ibrahim (Rami Elite, Phila. PA) 5 rounds at 128lbs.

Things start to get interesting when Srijan Munier (Raktan Muay Thai, NY) takes on Erick Castro (Ardon's Sweet Science, NY) and when Adam McCann (8 Limbs, Phila. PA) faces Mike Gallagher (Rami Elite, Phila. PA) in a 4-man tournament to determine the WBC Muay Thai Amateur Champion at 135lbs that evening. At 140lbs, a 4-man WBC Muay Thai Amateur Eliminator tournament will take place when Ethan Geffen (Ringsport Muay Thai, NY) takes on George Pitsakis (Rami Elite, Phila. PA) and Dillan Juocco (5 Points Muay Thai, NY) faces Ulbino Guzman (Kings Combat, NY).
Finally, in our main event, JR Hines (Team Zombie, KY) and Anthony Ford (Sitpholek, Canada) will be squaring off for the vacant WBC Muay Thai Professional 168lb strap.

The "Muay Thai Championships" will take place at the Elmcor Center located at 107-20 Northern Blvd, Corona, NY 11368.
In addition to the main card, there will be an additional 10 Muay Thai bouts scheduled around the card featuring Muay Thai prospects from the New York/New Jersey, Mid-Atlantic, and Southeastern regions.

Tickets for the event are available NOW priced from $45 and are only available through Eventbrite and by clicking the "WBC Championship Tickets" button below. All bouts are subject to change.

Doors at the Elmcor Center for the Nov. 18th, 2017 WBC Muay Thai Championships will open at 4pm EST
with the first bout starting at 5pm EST.

Elmcor Youth and Adult Activities, Inc. was started in 1965 by a group of concerned parents and senior citizens in the East Elmhurst/Corona area of Queens, New York.
